In the search for my roots and identity, I looked up “resistance” in music, and I found Tambu.

Tambu is a form of protest that simultaneously uses wisdom and humor. In Tambu art, music, dance and religion are interrelated, it arose from the plantations of Curacao.

Tambu represents the continuous bond with Africa, our African ancestors, and the Afro-Curaçaoan identity. Because of the condemnation and repression of Tambu by the dominant parties it hasn’t received the recognition it deserves.

Artistbook: Keith Haring

This book contains the experiences of people with Keith Haring. The experiences are divided in the course of his career, it starts on the street then goes on to galleries and finish in the museum. This subdivision is subtly marked with different types of papers and filling of the page. The street is full page, the galleries has a little white space on the page and the museum has a large white space around the image. The book is called "Untitled" because the majority of his works are untitled.
