‍Het Lespakket Nederlands Slavernijverleden & Racisme

Commissioned by Nederland word beter (NLWB) I designed a full color book (teaching package) that has a digital and print version. The teaching package consists of several assignments and elective assignments, an answer sheet, teacher's guide, a resource sheet and a glossary. The teaching package provides an insight into the vast scope of the Dutch colonial and slavery past with a focus on West and South Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Suriname. The focus is not only on the period of colonization and slavery, but also on the pre-colonial past. This breaks the myth that European colonists took uninhabited or underdeveloped territories.
