Strip the Comic

A poster series on poster paper with blue back. Comic book pages about the history of Dutch slavery, everyday racism and its effect on society. It began with the release of a Suske and Wiske comic strip in July 2017. In which an African man was drawn with the features of an ape. In the posters, you see topics such as police brutality, Black Pete (blackface), slavery, crimes against black bodies and the representations of black bodies over the years. The visual representations of ' the Negro' through the years are clearly shown in these comic posters.
