We Are Out Here: Toeslagen Affaire

Curatorial work. In December 2023, I was invited by Metro54 to curate the fourth iteration of  We Are Out Here, an series developed as an ode to street guerrilla poster culture by Metro54.I invited four artists: Charmaine De Heij, Stokely Dichtman, Lara Silva Santos & Anonymous Artist to make a serie of three posters, revolving around/ responding to the #toeslagenschandaal. 

This fourth We Are Out Here series was part of the Metro54 project ‘I Got You’ that served as an artistic response to the pressing issues surrounding social injustice, specifically focusing on the Dutch government's withdrawal from the social sphere, privatization of essential services, and the perpetuation of systemic racism in our society. Using the #toeslagenschandaal, as a recent (and ongoing) case/example.  

The poster series from "We Are Out Here" - #toeslagenschandaal were displayed for a month in the streets of Rotterdam, The Hague, and Amsterdam.
